In 1995, the Guidi family purchased 102 acres of former strip mine land consisting of a five and twelve acre spring fed lakes, native hardwood timber, a wetland and grassland pasture. The land is leased to Why Not Now? at no cost.
Our organization was incorporated in May of 2000 and is governed by a community based, volunteer board of directors.
We operate our camp under a conditional use permit granted by the Fulton County Zoning Board of Appeals on April 28, 2004.
Our permit stipulates that we may host up to 20 campers and 5 volunteers at any one time and activities are available up to three days each week.
During our first few months of operation we have hosted more than 60 campers.
